Art museum commissions mural, then whitewashes over it when they dislike the artist's politics.
The mural was on an exterior wall. The artist painted coffins draped with dollar bills (instead of American Flags) and it was immediately deleted by the museum.

1. Reminds me of Diego Rivera and his commissioned Rockefeller Center mural.
As both sides could not reach an agreement, he was ordered to stop and the painting was covered and destroyed in February of 1934.
