Geithner admitted to hospital for minor surgery
<snip>

"Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner was admitted to a hospital Friday to undergo a "minor" surgical procedure, according to the Treasury Department.

Geithner went to George Washington University Hospital in Washington to get a kidney stone removed, the department said.

"His physician expects that he will be discharged tomorrow with orders to rest this weekend," read a statement from Treasury spokesman Steve Adamske. "He has been told that he should be able to return to work on Monday."

Geithner is scheduled to appear Thursday at a hearing of the Congressional Oversight Panel overseeing the Troubled Asset Relief Program."

10. Ow. I've never had one, but took care of a patient who'd had one
while he was recovering from coronary bypass--he was just writhing and vomiting and pretty much in tears. His chest being cracked open was like a cat scratch in comparison.
