2. German to English translation (google)
Tax payers now you have to really be thankful that "Wikileaks" there.
Now it gets really hot for the banks and their managers

A commentary by Gerd Bruckner

As consumers and taxpayers have to be really grateful now that it is "Wikileaks" there.

For what would the dominant to date media make every effort to explosive and discrediting material get hold if the biggest cheater and liar in the world romp and network internationally, in the confidence that the rolling wheel is too large to be covered in the national context and to be discovered.

They all cried for total globalization: now, the banks and financial jugglers the desired global world.

My translation:

Now it's getting really heated (or hot) for the banks and their managers.

A Commentary by Gerd Bruckner

As consumers and tax-payers, people should be really thankful that Wikileaks exists. For, until now, what did the major media have to do in to get shockingly damaging material when the biggest cheats and liars all over the world hurried to strike establish international connections in the certainty that the spinning wheel of events is too big to be uncovered and revealed within a single nation.

They all cry for total globalization; now the banks and financial jugglers (manipulators) are getting the global world they wished for.

Had to get some help on the idioms in this context.

The article is very interesting. It concerns the promised Wikileaks of bank documents. Apparently Assange has said that they reveal and "ecosystem of corruption."

The author, speaking to German voters, suggests that it is time to give the politicians their pink slips and that it would be better to vote for one of the minor parties than the corruption. I'm just summarizing what the article says. These are not necessarily my opinions, of course.

The article links to an interview by Assange that is apparently in English.

20. Pretty close.
The banks work together and are bound and intertwined -- tangled. Assange describes what we will learn from the bank leaks as an ecosystem of corruption.

The author suggest to Germans that they fire their politicians and that it would be better to vote for minor parties than the current corruption.

I am paraphrasing the author.
