Road Kill-the poor, low-income and 99ers

My letter to the Editor to a local paper upset a conservative so bad he had to look in the phone book and call me. I stated capitalism has failed. The 2001 tax cuts for those who don't need it has produced no jobs in 8 years. Utter failure. I must have hit a nerve with this RW self-centered jerk.

The first comment from him was I should learn to write and compose better. Which is probably true, but hardly negates the message and to shut up while he told me that I was one of those who just want to suck up other people's money. Little does he know I work two jobs at 70 years of age just to pay the living expenses.

When I told him my daughter died form lack of medical care, he comment was why didn't you pay for it. Doctor and medicine cost a lot more than minimum wage. I could have paid for the care if I lived on a sidewalk with no utilities or food to consider. He is someone who has no concept of the disparity of income in this nation or maybe he considers poor pepole road kill. Which I am inclined to think.

I told him he must be warm, well-fed, can see a doctor/dentist. Road kill, that is what the conservative element thinks of 20% of the citizens in this nation. I also told him Jesus said "by their fruits you will know them". He hung up.
