13 months of unemployment for those who desperately need it in exchange for
two years of tax breaks for those who least need it.

And some here are spewing talking points to tell us this is a great deal...

5. What's sad is that Obama could have paid for that UI extension out of left over stimulus funds
Thus taking the gun out of the hands of the Republicans. What's even worse is that McConnell is pushing for Obama to do just that now that they've got their tax cuts for the rich.

This capitulation didn't have to happen, the fact that it did simply shows how spineless Obama is.

6. You probably want Saddam to still be running Iraq, too
Okay, you have to ignore the torture, the war crimes, the crimes against humanity, the busting of the Treasury, Blackwater, KBR electrocuting soldiers, "Mission Accomplished", Bin Laden still running free, profiteering, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, Secretary of State Rice, Vice President Cheney, Fallujah, shock and awe, Bush's manly characteristic, Chris Mathews' salivating over same with Gordon Liddy, and a host of other things, but Saddam's definitely not running Iraq anymore, so it's all worth it. It is!

Who are you going to believe? The smiling millionaires on the teevee or your lying eyes? They're millionaires! On teevee!
