Once again, it's the Senate that is rolling over and exposing its belly.

1. Either the Senate rules get changed or Democracy can now longer
be possible in America. nt

2. changing rules is a dangerous road
The other side can use it as well if it gets in a position to do so.

4. Well, better than changing the rules would be to do away with the
Senate altogether. If is a terrible example of unfair representation per Senator.

The filibuster rule allows an unfair amount of power to each Senator. Look at what has happened this year. A handful of Senator from small states should not have that much power on either side.
In the past, there may have been times when the filibuster worked for America's best interests. But, on balance, it's too likely to allow the minority to rule as it did this year.

10. Yes. There is no good reason for having an elected body that
does not have a fair amount of voters per Senator. Originally, the idea was to protect the small states. However, that idea has been totally abused to the point of total gridlock.

8. She could deal with that. During the Bush administration, I was a
bit worried that she seemed to allow Bush to lead her around. But as she has matured in the Speaker job, she has shown great talent for governing. (I also like Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky of Illinois.)
