A prediction regarding congressional reaction to Gropegate
Not only will Congress fail to enact any form of protections for US travelers against the outrages they now face, they will criminalize actions or words seen as detrimental to the gropers. And they will grant immunity to TSA agents against civil actions which may be taken against them by citizens (that's assuming they don't already enjoy it).

And of course the legislation will be signed.

3. Nope, I think this is going to be seen as one step too far.
I hope. I was enraged when the scanners first arrived. I guess I was just ahead of my time.

4. Hasn't the concept of "too far" become somewhat quaint?
I don't think our fearless leaders feel anything they say or do goes far enough to cause a backlash, at least any they need be concerned about.

9. I did forget that, and thank you for mentioning it
Banning the recording of the gropesters in action will be part of the bill, of course.

8. You have a believer here.
I don't doubt for one nanosecond that everything you are predicting will happen. Actually, I believe you are 100% correct.

It might even be worse. They might ban personal cameras too. Then, we will not even be able to document what happens to us. Cameras are banned at some sporting events and concerts. I see no reason why they would not ban cameras from these security torture chambers as well. Crazy? I wouldn't put anything past our government. After all, they just sanctioned child molestation, groping, and nudity in public...as long as THEY are the ones doing it. It's another case of do as I say, not as I do. If they had to be treated the same way, this shit would change, like yesterday.

10. Nope...It will be the "Issue" that the repubs will rally behind
and they will "force" legislation that will merely take us back to the way it was before and be seen as a victory for the repubs, yet it will only be in realiity what it should have been all along...kinda mind-boggling acutally...
