What I found disrespectful was Pat Buchanan not even bothering to stand to shake hands with the Vice President, who had walked around the table to him and was standing, while Buchanan remained seated.

3. Maybe Buchanan can't stand up easily and that's why Biden went to him

I saw Buchanan standing once and he was pretty hunched over and looked much older than he does all made up for the cameras.
