Congratulations Dems, you caved and Bush just bashed you on TV for it

by John Aravosis (DC) · 5/24/2007

Well that little surrender of yours on the Iraq supplemental was quite effective. Bush just went on TV, praised how all of your bad un-American ideas were struck from the bill, and then he told the country that you still have too much pork in the bill.

So, basically, he just made fools of you. He attacked, you caved in order to stop the attack, and he attacked again. No one could have predicted that.

.......................

You caved, and now he's bashing you again. The only one surprised is you.

75% of the country see Bush is a dictator, but not the dem leaders! He's the Kid who lets other bullies beat you up and then kicks you while you're down. I'm so glad i'm not the only one frustrated by this crap!

11. bush is the worst threat to our security...ever
There is no doubt to anyone who is paying attention and who is not lining their pockets off the criminal and obscene tactics of bushco that the administration must be changed.

There is doubt now that the democratic leadership can change the current situation.

That is why you have to question the leadership. We are waaaay beyond questioning bush's leadership and motives.

15. Finally...
Thank you for finally noticing. This of course is why Republicans never feel any pressure to conform to the will of the people: because whenever anything happens, the "idiots" run away from scary Republicans, and start pummeling Democrats, just like Republicans or "D"LC. If you are criticizing Democrats because you realize that only they ever respond to the opinions of the electorate, then at least admit it; if you are criticizing only them because you are so afraid to confront the frightening, threatening Republican corporation, then don't criticize others for doing the same, when you escape it yourself. Everything becomes another one of these "all the victims attack the other victims" response, because no one would even consider facing Republicans themselves and attacking. Waiting for Johnny Dick-suck of the OP's excerpt to file a "hugely-important" column on going to a Bush or Cheney event and facing and questioning the devil directly. First, though, you have to do it... I am also tired of the lack of approaching Republicans and holding them accountable--let's try attacking them for their crimes, huh?

22. I can understand the frustration
Edited on Thu May-24-07 11:40 AM by Blue_Roses
at what is going in our country--hell, it's been a nightmare for 6 plus years. But, to think a newly elected Congress--who barely has majority--can just turn it around in less than six months is ridiculous and extremely naive. I have to admit, yesterday was a day that I started on that train wreck until I did some searching. Amazing the FACTS you can find when you go straight to the source.

You know what they say about misery--it loves it's company.

You have a republican president. A congress who barely has the Democratic majority and you say we have the power. The fucking people have the power, but we can't stop listening to the pundits long enough to figure that out.

Note how some projects come back to the US, with a lot of people still complaining about poor helpdesk support.

Maybe there's a pattern in all this.

If you're really afraid of being attacked by a bully, as Rahm Emmanuelle said, then you don't cower and capitulate. You hit them in their fucking face.

But of course, this is more about selling out for cash than anything else. These sell-outs have lost me.

34. This is the letter I sent to my one Republican Representative and two Democratic Senators
I understand that this funding for the war will only last until September, 2007 at which time the President of the United States will ask for more money to fund this illegal war. The problem I have with this is that with the, ?Mission Accomplished? and the
2004 election, everything was going as planed. Today we find out things were not going as planed, because essentially, there was the thought that there was no need to plan. Well that really made for a big problem, our problem that we need to fix immediately. This is a five year mess and I do not think throwing lives and money to support the ongoing death is going to fix the problem.

I also understand this funding is a trade to fix the social problems in this country. Do we as a population really need to trade lives to fund our society? This is cold, calculated horse trading at its worse. We need leaders who can move forward in a productive matter for the good of this country and the world, not a barter master without an ounce of warm blood in their body. We need to fund our social programs, but not at the expense of human life.
<end of letter>

This is the link I used. There is a canned letter but I chose to use my own: http://actforchange.workingassets.com/campaign/out_of_iraq
