Dick Blumenthal, our new CT Dem Senator, will be on with Michael Smerconish (filling in for Tweety tonight)to talk about his plans going forward in the Senate.

.....Tweety would be grilling him about Vietnam.

2. Tweety made me SO MAD about that! Blumenthal obviously misspoke.

If he had been a pathological liar he would not have contradicted himself in the same speech, which he did, when he said he served in the Vietnam era, not in Vietnam itself.

Look, the guy was talking to vets who he cared for and helped so much that they were among his strongest supporters.

Tweety was an outrage. He ought to know better than to pre-judge a man he has NO knowledge of. He ought to be ashamed of himself!

I know. I'm pretty furious. Stupid makes me mad...

4. I think Blumenthal will win him over. Dick is a good guy and a hard worker.

I think he'll get things done. He's not a great public speaker but I don't care. He's good at figuring out how to do things and do them right. I hope he and the Senate will be a good mix...

Then Tweety will see the error of his ways...
