MSNBC is saying the House is voting on Leadership now, BUT there may be
a problem-o. Some of the House members want to DELAY the vote until December so "we can figure out where the heck our caucus is" (Luke Russert reporting). And now they're discussing whether it should be a secret ballot.

Bottom line, some members don't want Nancy back, saying something has to change after we lost 60 seats.

2. Fine - then give us Anthony Weiner.
After all, it wasn't the liberal wing of the Democratic Party that lost more than half their caucus.

5. I think those who are opposing Pelosi have their eyes facing in the other
direction. :7 I'd love Weiner, too, but boy has Pelosi been good! She's sharp and knows how to play the game and doesn't back down. I've just recently come to really appreciate her.

11. Oh, I know. That's to whom I was referring.
The Blue Doggies lost badly in the 2010 mid-terms and yet they want to blame the more liberal Pelosi who, by the way, was voted BACK into office and who was a member of the more liberal Congressional Progressive Caucus (pre-Speaker).

So, with more than half their DINO "New Democrats" group tossed out on their keisters, why do they think they should get to be in leadership positions? They really are like Republicans: give 'em an inch and they'll run into the corporate bank with the mile.

3. This smells like Repug disinformation - Luke Russert is another corporate media tool.
If it's true, the Democratic Party is in even worse shape than I thought.

4. I don't think so (the Repub disinfo) - he was reporting outside the chambers
where the vote is taking place, and I think he got his info from Dems. Just my assumption, though.

There ARE some Dems who don't want Pelosi, that's not news. Now it sounds like they're behaving like Republicans behind those closed doors - obstructing.

6. I guess we didn't get rid of enough Blue Dogs
this election. :-(

7. Thnx. I didn't mean that it was an outright fabrication, but there's a bit of wishful thinking
mixed in there, it seems to me. I'll admit, I may just not like the guy and his legacy.

9. Understood - and you're not alone. I actually think he's coming right along and
seems to be learning and getting an understanding of the Ways of Washington. When he first was 'hired' I couldn't listen to him without wincing and being incredulous that they'd given him a job actually 'commenting'. I admit I'm more tentative about 'believing' what he says compared to those who have the experience and wisdom.

Somebody's up now we can ALL agree on - Chuck Todd! I dislike him so much I probably tune out valid information. Ick.

10. Chuck even has an icky name. How fitting.
Todd seems so uncomfortable in his own skin; his expressions betray a deeply ambivalent quality in him that makes me uncomfortable to watch him. It's not that I disagree with him all the time. There are some, such as Krauthammer, who I actually can't help but like, despite what their views. But, Chuck, he's . . . icky is the right word.
