I don't know a single conservative that approves of the scans and pat-downs and I know some pretty conservative folks.

1. What are you saying?
Corporate media has been pumping out stories and polls that the public widely approves of these body scanners and gropings?

:wtf:

:sarcasm:

2. I disagree. We agree that we don't like each other and both loathe the centrists.
So, there. :P Take that!

3. Excellent point. Perhaps progressives and conservatives can agree upon individual rights such as
right to privacy as in TSA's invasions of privacy and things like abortion, same-sex marriage, and other strictly personal-individual rights that harm no one else.

4. The cons I know will agree: they don't like them...
...but then they'll say in their next sentence, something like: "But we need them to be safe!"

I'm reminded of the statement "He who angers you, controls you." The same thing goes for fear.

The terrorists have won--they control us...

5. We Liberals don't care for unreasonable searches and seizures, either.
We insist on the letter of the Constitution.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

If they can show me a warrant or a reasonable reason to submit...

Well then. It seems we've found the common ground. Eliminate the TSA.

6. Don't kid yourself

The only reason why they are up in arms over the TSA is because a Dem is President. You better believe that if a repuke was President, they would be lauding the TSA for keeping us safe from the terrorists that hate us for our freedom according to George Bush.

7. I don't think so. This is a huge step up from taking off our shoes or having a laptop sniffed. nt.

8. It's a start... there are other things
but first we have to agree to live and let live.

9. According to Glenn Beck the plan is to cause an outrage over
airport security. Then after all the outrage cut back on the security. The genius behind this is when there is a terrorist attack Obama will put the blame on the public because they complained about the tight security. Then you see that takes Obama off the hook if there is a terrorist attack. I kid you not, that was Beck's tirade today.
