Buyer's Remorse Setting In...........ALREADY
New polls show that the American people are NOT excited about the new Republican majority.

1. I'm not surprised
The Tea Party/GOP has even less patience than the Democrats. It took a year for Democrats to get disillusioned with Obama.

It will be even less with the other guys. It's already sinking in that they won't get their government free libertarian paradise. Bummer for them.

25. There is that...
but shouldn't they at least wait for the teabaggers to get sworn in before they decide they hate them?

2. Now that didn't take long at all.
What the hell were they thinking when they voted for the idiots.

Wait another month - when the shit really hits the fan.

4. Voters didnt want to elect EITHER party
They blame the GOP for creating the economic mess, and they blame the Democrats for not trying to fix it after running on "change".

20. i know people who thought the teabaggers were too extreme
who were happy to see them shake up the system.
Smart? Of course not...
but when that's the alternative that's what happens.

6. I'm told hangovers are terrible things.
I never had one myself, and I'm very grateful! I like to read the label before I buy something that could make me drunk. Especially if it's a purported political "philosophy."

18. That's because they sound like the old Republican majority!
Not one new fucking idea has come out yet.

Except that they want to thwart Obama to make him a 1-termer.
Which they have already been pursuing for the last 2 years.

I guess they plan to spill more oil in the Gulf area next year and then shout not to clean it up either.

Sarah Palin goes on tv and says something stupid, Huckabee and Chuck Morris will be dancing with the stars on his own show, Mitt gets his annual hair oil changed, and McCain scowls at everyone.
Nuttin' new.

21. Like the * situation: Bait and Switch
The republicans promise one thing (curb the "excesses" of Obama and the democrats) and substitute another thing (tax cuts, destroy Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and HCR) that wasn't mentioned on the campaign trail.

23. They Weren't Going In To The Election...
The GOTB...especially in Congress had a low approval rating; lower than the Democrats. The problem is a combination of voter anger and apathy against the Democrats. Just like the Democrats gained seats in '06 and '08 because voters were fed up with rushpublicans, '10 was the other way around.

Listening to the corporate media one would think there's some GOTB mandate out there...there isn't or they would have won the Senate. They exploited many weak candidates who couldn't deal with the barage of lies and deceptions. Many voters fell for those same deceptions as well. Now the rushpublicans have bought in to the progress or regress of things. Should they waste time and money with endless and foolish investigations, obstruct tax cuts for the middle class and try to screw around with health care, they could fall just as fast as they rise...but that depends on a Democratic party that fights and forces the GOTB into making mistakes. And that's not so certain...

29. In Texas, they are talking seriously about getting rid of Medicaid.
That means no health care for pregnant women, no care for crippled children, no nursing homes for the elderly. If this one does not get shot down, the Republican Party is going to be the most despised group of folks in Texas.
