Is this plausible? Since the Republicans want to hold tax cuts for the middle and working class hostage to keep the tax cuts for the rich and the big corporations that got them elected, I think the best thing would be to let all the cuts laps then reintroduce the tax cuts for the middle and working class in a new bill and if it doesn't go through the voters can blame the Republicans for not cutting taxes. Good paying jobs disappeared in record numbers during these tax cuts and I see no reason to reward the wealthy so they can spend their tax cut on goods from China and Indonesia and outsourcing American jobs to India

2. Not When The Rushpublicans Take Over In The House...
They get the ball...to set the agenda. They will write the bills, run the committees that would approve such a measure. Ya think Boner will go for this? Hell no he won't. Forget the Senate...sadly I don't even see 51 votes there for the current cave-in to those making over 250k pay a little more. If the organizational rules still play with 60 votes, there's no way any Democratic proposal will make it out.

While I wouldn't mind seeing all cuts expire, if needs be...or to keep the cuts for those who make 100k a year or less, this administration has now gotten itself in a corner. Let them expire and the GOTB will yell that Obama raised everyone's taxes (and the corporate media will amp it up loudly)..compromise and look weak.

As I had predicted previous and will do again, this administration will cave on a 2 year extension so the GOTB can use it as a campaign issue in 2012.
