I think US college students would do the same if they tripled titution here too.

5. Even If It's Tripled
I heard they were upset about tuition costing 14k a year...in this country that's a bargain. Costs at many American schools have doubled and tripled over the past decade.

for public universities in the american sense, 14000 to go to uni in europe is horribel

7. They were paying just over $5K

CNN has more on the unrest. There was some confusion of dollars and pounds, but yes it has nearly tripled.

university staffs by 40 percent at the same time they are tripling titution. Looks like they are in full riot mode right now.

though the property damage is going to undermine their argument.
