I just called and signed up for info from my future repuke rep in congress.

Bobby Schilling, with 10 kids and an idiot who answers the phone. I gave my address, which has Carl Sandburg in the mix and Ms. No Education asked if Carl was spelled with a K.

This is going to be a long 10 years. He wants to:
cut taxes
let each state control education standards (note is Carl spelled with a K)
cut cut cut fiscal responsibility
pro-gun
tort reform (yes, it says that!)
get rid of some of the health reform (does support some of it)
no amnesty for immigration
anti-abortion (10 kids told me that)
no embryonic stem cell research
does not believe in privatizing Social Security and raising retirement age (he gets a +)
pro-veteran benefits (another +)

I know this is just one district in the country, but this is what many of us will be dealing with and fighting our reps about in the coming years. I'm going to put his number in DC on speed dial in January and he'll be hearing from me on everything. I told Ms. No Education that I am his constituent now and I want to be kept informed on anything he does. So there!!

1. He owns a restaurant

A pizza place in Moline. St. Giuseppe's pizza. I will never set foot in that place.
Also, Iam not sure if I spelled the name of the place coreectly, but that's the name of it. You get the idea. Iam lucky enough to live in Iowa's first district, although they tried like hell to take Braley down as well.
Make sure you tell Schilling that you need jobs and need them today. Tell him everyday. It's put up or shut up time. And tell him they should not all be pizza restaurant jobs.

3. They'll learn my name real quick.

And I'll fight him on everything I think he's doing wrong...which by the list you can see there is plenty of differences. I'm getting my list ready and upping the min. wage is right up there. Jobs! Jobs! Jobs! It's going to be interesting after all these years of Democratic representation in DC. Lane Evans and Phil Hare did a good job for the people.
