Insiders say Olbermann won't be back according to TVNewser
Usually this is a fairly good site. Let's see how this plays out. I'm betting Olbermann may not be back unless someone with more power than Griffin overrules Griffin.

Olbermann, who signed a four-year, $30 million contract extension in Nov. 2008, has left MSNBC once before.

In the late 1990′s, Olbermann had a program on MSNBC called “The Big Show.” In 1998, he left the network after protesting the incessant coverage of the Monica Lewinsky scandal. He ended up joining , of all places, Fox Sports. Olbermann was wooed back to MSNBC during the run-up to the Iraq War when MSNBC had a show called “Countdown: Iraq” hosted by Lester Holt. That show morphed into “Countdown with Keith Olbermann.”

Insiders we’ve talked to say Olbermann won’t be back. The question is whether he’ll leave or MSNBC keeps him off the air.

11. I think that he must...
Because there will always be another "gottcha" waiting in the wings....if he doesn't from this time forward...tow the less progressive line. That would be worse to see than to not see him there at all. The dropping of the "worse person's" was just the beginning of what has happened today.

8. And I got the radio going now
I am gone too.

I love RM... she is a bright gal, but it is clear to me that until we have a full force break up of media... things will not change.

12. Just more consolidation of the media.
Within two years (by the election) Rachel will be gone and it won't make a difference what network you watch - they will all be one network of lies. It's part of the neocon plan to move to one party - many names but one mind.

13. Wow, with everything that is happening
MSNBC ratings increasing faster than other news channels including Fox "News".
An election that created more than a few bent feelings.
A shiny new upcoming Republican House.

And MSNBC pulls what could potentially be the bonehead blunder of the year? Are they trying to shoot themselves in the foot?

14. I think he will land on his feet. He is the most popular personality
on MSNBC, and no matter which way the wind blows, he will make out in the end. All I can say to KO is "don't sell out, don't back down."

17. Damage to Olbermann's Integrity Cannot Be Undone Now
Keith Olbermann Should Tell MSNBC/NBC "I'm Done Here, Sir."

There is no way that this damage can be undone or that Olbermann can ever work freely there again without having to look over his shoulder.

Keith is very intelligent and has many talents and he does not need MSNBC any longer.

I hope Olbermann tells Griffin and the other jerks at GE to stick it up their collective asses!!!!

Remember what NBC did to:

1. Howard Stern
2. David Letterman
3. Conan O'Brien

Howard Stern has always said how bad he was treated by the brass at NBC and we all know how it turned out for Conan and Dave at GE as well.

18. Comcast would rather lose money than
the ideological agenda. KO has credibility and they hate his guts.
