I just heard that Rove and his Corporate toadies are going to keep running ads during the lame duck
session. Anyone hear this? Not that it surprises me much but is there any precedent for this?

1. I haven't heard but I expected as much

2. We are in for a continous campaign with the media and republicans joined at the hip.
It will be ugly. The SC ruling will make it a 24/7 barrage of anti-Obama ads through TV and radio.

3. I would not be at all surprised if they start buying 30-minute slots...
every week, on schedule, to give the appearance of being a tv news show, on various channels. Like Fox is 24/7, but spread across numerous networks.

The cash is unlimited, and the networks will NOT say no to it.

4. That will be good for us, IMHO. It will certainly look like overkill
to a lot of fair minded people, dems and pugs alike. It's called over reaching.

5. They have to IIRC
because the tax designation requires that they spend something like 30% of their money on issues rather than candidates. This is something Jake Tapper talked about 2 weeks ago on Real Time--he said to expect a slew of ads after the election about health care repeal, etc.

6. Remember this? Only now, it's legal, since corporate $ will pay for it:

George W. is so anxious to get good news coverage he's been caught hiring actors to pose as TV reporters to recreate news conferences to make them look more positive.
