the gorge in my throat rises...
Everytime I see the graphic on the news that says "Republican Control" it makes me feel very uncomfortable.

Looks like life just got tougher for a whole bunch more of us, and the gloating they will engage in makes it even worse...

My fight is waning, the logic escapes me...:wtf: How can the country be so damned stupid?
I guess my hopes of getting a job anytime soon are toast...

"where are we going and why am I in this handbasket...?"

2. Your last sentence is one of my favorite quotes.
The rest of your post echoes my thoughts and feelings exactly. There's no job in my future, and no health insurance either. What there is is the company of good people such as yourself. That's gotta count for something.

4. all we have is eachother and our communities
I suppose it's like it has always been...shit rolls downhill and we are the pones who have to deal with it. at least there are more of us in the trenches now...
So I'll just focus on my community projects and my family, and hope that our true change will come from the work we do on the ground at home.

screw washington

Oh, Girl. Bask a little in your state that will be returning to sanity soon. So we lost the House but we keep the Senate and the WH. And Brown is Back!

8. Watch unemployment benefits stop, watch more jobs go
and the republicans will do nothing absolutely nothing to fix anything. I too, do not understand this country how in the hell could they hand the house back over to the bunch of republicans who did this do us to begin with.

Obama and the senate better get their a** in gear and stiffen up or we will go down and in flames. The United States will become the States of Depression for sure. And you know what...the Democrats are going to get blamed for every single thing that goes wrong just like they have been blamed for what bush and his crew did under his regime.

11. Yep
Millions are going to be exhausting their benefits in December. But I'm sure extending the tax cuts for the top tier will help them eventually.

10. Fuuuuuck the media
They're going to paint the election the way their corporate overlords tell them to. You know this. Don't buy the bullshit.

We (The fucking awesome Democrats) came out waaaaay better than predicted. We have the Senate and the presidency. We rule. We win. Nuff sed.

1.75 an hour, cuz we all have to tighten our belts. Unless you're rich. Then you need to buy a bigger belt.

13. Many are are dimwittingly voting themselves into what may become an early grave
Repukediation...

The grim reaper might enjoy an earlier and much larger harvest, IF Rethugs truly manage to regain control of Congress and the Oval Office again!! by the middle of this decade....but perhaps the end result will accelerate the inevitable demise of a large part of the greedy hypocrites and bigoted of the rightwing in my generation.

What parts of "personal responsibility" do they not understand? If a member of the "great unwashed" votes for a candidate who takes those words to heart...how can they expect him or her to give two shits about their constiuents' lot in life, or if they can ever can find work or keep any job?
