1. You're half right
The country is full of bimbos. But it's still worth fighting for.

All is not lost. We'll keep the Senate, and the new crop of nutters in the House will soon show their stripes. America has a way of righting itself--well, temporarily.

I don't think Sweden and Canada can absorb all of us.

8. If states vote for teabaggers, then those states must be punished
At a minimum, close the hospitals in those states. Then close the borders.

9. Questions like that lead to the assholes winning. "Why bother" Dems are why we have losses tonight
All is not lost.

Now begins the fight for '12.

10. I left once, lived abroad for 5 years right after Watergate.
Honestly, never thought I'd see someone worse than Nixon and Hoover, never thought I'd see another illegal war, based on even more blatant lies than Vietnam. But obviously, the last 35 years have just been a downward spiral, devolving into reptilian brains controlling the Repig party and the MSM. I hate how my country has turned into a Corporatocracy, but I won't be moving away from here again. America needs voices like ours, and even though it looks grim, the truth can't be oppressed forever. The more folks like us who leave, the more we give it up to the Crazy Fundies, teabagger idiots and greedy corporate pigs.

Future generations are counting on us to continue to fight for what our Founders died for.

21. Only Problem
Only problem over time everyone gets older and more conservative. Tea people are mostly 45+. Its what happens to people over time if nothing happens to give them hope.

13. Because it's what we do. It's like family.
My family may be assholes but you've got to be there for them.

Look, we got some good shit done in the past 2 years. We'll get some more stuff done in the next two (not as much), and then we'll do more when we take back the House in 2012.

16. Because
I'm not going to let mentally defective Repugs (but I repeat myself) beat me. They may have won this battle, but we will win the war. Figuratively speaking of course. The idiots that are going to DC can't hide what they are for long, and when they show their true colors the Repugs are going to be laughing stocks. The moderates will realize how stupid they were to vote for the Whiny Child Party and will swing things back to us in 2012.

Oh yeah, fuck the fascists like Rand Paul. Hope you enjoy your single terms fucktards.

17. I just do not understand how people can think in the remotest
way that the republicans are going to do one damn thing to clean up the mess. They will have us in such a hole we will never get out. I just hope Obama developes some guts and vetos the bills they will try to pass to cut the health insurance and wall street bill. Of course now the senate always stopped the House from getting bills thru are the Democrats going to cave completely and let the bills go thru the senate. That's is why we didn't get more done. The senate didn't fight hard enough. America has gone completely absolutely positively crazy. I hope the republicans do make a mess.

22. Obama should go after the corruption
If Obama went after the corruption, which he can still do as Pres, he could get people attention.

Go after BP and Haliburton. Make them libel for everything until they are bankrupt. make an example. And go after the regulators who let them get by. Make a point the he is going to focus on safety.

the public will not complain about regulations when its about safety and fair play. make a point that its not about hurting the oil industry or clean energy its about corruption.

Go after Goldman and the other bad banks. Do like they did with the saving and loan collapse were they put over 1000 bankers in jail. except do 10000. go after the guys who made those mortgage backed securities from mortgages they knew were shaky, and banks that sold the securities that they knew would fail. Obama may think the banks are too big to fail, but the bankers sure are not. Go after the regulators who stood by while this happened for several decades.

This is something he can do without congress and he will look very effective.

18. Because like it or not, we've all got a lot invested in this country.
We live here, after all. It's ours. And that means we need to fight to make sure it's the kind of place we can be proud of.
