Is the World Series trying to scare the crap out of me for Halloween?!
First we have the uber-nationalist opening ceremony full of militaristic patriotism that would make Leni Riefenstahl proud. Then the father-son opening pitch by the Bush disasters. I'm having flashbacks to 2002.

I've had enough of this bullshit. I'm ready for a normal, pre-9/11 mindset. Keep the fascism out of the World Series!

1. And what's even worse was that the fans were standing and cheering loudly...
We sure do love our war criminals in this country.

4. Poppy, jr and the botox queen have been on the screen quite regularly the past couple nights.
I wonder if the entrance to the game tonight resembled an airport security line, and the fans all had to take loyalty oaths to get in.

7. Showing them again
Edited on Sun Oct-31-10 07:55 PM by Danmel
I don't want to look at them-I want to watch baseball. I would never root for any Texas team- ever.

Even against the red sox.

9. I didn't even want to watch baseball.
My team isn't in the Series. This crap is interrupting the only night of TV I regularly watch.

8. You're making me glad all over again
that I don't have a TV, and even if I did I wouldn't be watching the World Series.

Besides, it's a Sunday night. Aren't there football games happening?

14. I have no problem with acknowledging active duty personnel
They don't choose the mission & they risk their lives limbs and sanity. Their families also sacrifice air. I do have a problem with the god bless
America thing and have a huge problem with the Bushes.

15. I listen to the BBC at night, and it might make you smile
to know that on BBC 5, a loud, sports, music and commentary (think popular US drive time) station, the sports crazed disc jock was going on and on about what a complete failure Bush was. He said it was the patriotic duty of all Brits to root for the Giants. Really, all politics should be out of sports, but I thought that was funny.
