Victory For Free Speech As Secret Service Overrules U of MN Security
No one can deny the great change. When Bush was in office, protesters had to be 3-5 blocks away and dump trucks and buses were moved into block people from seeing the protesters.

Here at the University of Minnesota, where Obama spoke yesterday.. Protesters could protest in ear and eye shot line coming into the event and walk amongst them. Peace and Social activists passed out "end the war" stickers and passed out leaflets asking attendes to tell Obama to tell the FBI.. stop spying and raiding peace activists.

Here is the video with the security guards and secret service. (I couldn't find a You Tube on this)

One of the most basic rights Americans have is free speech. Courts have ruled that includes handing out flyers on a public street. So it was surprising that outside a University of Minnesota field house where President Obama was speaking, U of M security tried to prevent protest petitions from being distributed. The petitions were in support of nine Minnesotans who the FBI targeted with raids on September 24.

Protesters were originally told the flyers couldn’t be distributed because it was “a Secret Service event.” But the Secret Service showed up and said it didn’t object to the petitions being distributed.

The victims of the September 24 FBI raids and their supporters rallied across the street from the thousands lined up at the President’s campaign rally for Minnesota DFL candidates on the University Campus in the Field House.

10,000 petitions were printed. The petition asks for supporters to contact the Dept. of Justice, the President’s office and members of Congress seeking an overturn of the serious cloud hanging over the heads of nine Minnesotans.

3. There is a disconnect with the FBI
The FBI have always been Agents of Repression.

The organization was founded by Right-wing reactionaries to protect the Elites.
