The more I find out about this immigration bill, the more disappointed I am in Kennedy -- what the hell is he thinking?

It's just so stupid and unrealistic. What immigrant is going to pay $5,000 plus fees to register for something that is going to force them to return to their country of origin and start a whole new process with no guarantees of returning to their US job. And any "guest worker" program is just indentured servitude.

This bill sounds like one of those "committee" produced things that manages to piss of all sides equally, and create more problems while solving none!

The "fine" and the requirement for the head of household to "return home" every eight years seem just vindictive. Some of these people have been in the US for decades and raised families in the US. A little compassion and forgiveness wouldn't go amiss.
