Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas 'Obsessed With PORN,' Says Ex
:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

This is one ' hairy ' story.

" Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' ex-girlfriend Lillian McEwen has decided to "break her silence" about their five-year-long relationship in a Washington Post interview. Turns out, Justice Thomas was "obsessed with porn" and was "partial to women with large breasts." Shocking!

Happy Clarence Thomas week! Just a few days after the story broke that Thomas' wife made a bizarre phone call to Anita Hill—the lawyer whose accusations of sexual harassment against Thomas became the focal point of his Senate hearing and nearly derailed his confirmation—comes an interview with an ex of Thomas, Lillian McEwen.

And what does she have to say about the justice? Well, that they had a "freewheeling sex life"! But also:

"He was obsessed with porn," she said of Thomas, who is now 63. "He would talk about what he had seen in magazines and films, if there was something worth noting."
McEwen added that she had no problem with Thomas's interests, although she found pornography to be "boring."

According to McEwen, Thomas would also tell her about women he encountered at work. He was partial to women with large breasts, she said. In an instance at work, Thomas was so impressed that he asked one woman her bra size, McEwen recalled him telling her.

So: Clarence Thomas is a sexist, porn-obsessed asshole. Gee! Who would have thought? Besides, obviously, anyone who listened to Anita Hill in 1991.

And why is McEwen, herself a respected lawyer and judge who dated Thomas between 1981 and 1986, coming forward now? (She says she didn't testify at the Senate hearings because it was limited to women with whom Thomas had a "professional relationship.")

She has written a memoir, which she is now shopping to publishers. News broke that the justice's wife, Virginia Thomas, left a voice mail on Hill's office phone at Brandeis University, seeking an apology — a request that Hill declined in a statement. After that, McEwen changed her mind and decided to talk about her relationship with Thomas.

"I have nothing to be afraid of," she said, adding that she hopes the attention stokes interest in her manuscript.

Ah.

10. I don't mind revisiting this.. Thomas' characterizing the whole thing as a
"high tech lynching" seems to have stopped everything in it's tracks. If you think back, you'll see that the MEDIA called it off in the full throated pearl-clutching fashion that we've all become so familiar with...

Had the internet been really up and running at the time, we might have been spared one of the worst justices in American history.

11. This was the reason for Ginnie's call to Anita. Rehash an old issue she thinks
they fought off successfully and conflate it with the new allegations.

12. Its amazing how badly they wanted this guy on the court
and what Thomas himself was willing to do to get on it. Anyone that thinks for a second he would ever resign is out of their mind. All those who voted to confirm should be ashamed. All those on the Committee that voted to send it to the floor should be ashamed.
