The" Echo" ad from Jerry Brown is the best political ad ever.
Edited on Thu Oct-21-10 10:28 PM by Stuart G
This ad does not trash anyone. It does not use fear or langage to hurt. It is moderate and honest.
It allows the candidate to speak for herself, in her real words that cannot be misunderstood.
It shows that this candidate is using the talking style and words of a previous office holder. Exact words.
The ad allows the viewers to decide for themselves if this is good or bad. Or if the previous office holder is good or bad.

Because of its simplicity and honesty, many will remember this ad above all the others.
The arrogance of the current candidate is that she believes that no one would notice or even care about the above.
I believe she completely wrong.
If you have not seen it, it is available here in the video forum.
You decide.

8. Yes it is brilliant, but when I saw it today it was completely surrounded by nebulous anti-whoever
anonymous scaremongering ads. At least 6 to 1 per commercial break. Even the rabid rightwingers I was with (their cable) were sick of all the ads.

I think this whole CU thing is going to backfire, especially if they ramp it up before the election. Some Dem ads should be pointing out the absolute swamping of the CU ads. Why it's happening and exactly where it's coming from, because it is pissing people off.

10. I recall the mean ad about Willie Horton, and the
one about Dukakis on the tank. And they were very very effective.

This one, allows Meg, through her own talking points, show herself for what she is.
..a rich copy cat. It is just as effective, maybe more so. Cause the truth is decided by the viewer.
Sure, the ad maker put it together, but the viwer is glad someone did.
What can Meg say?..."I didn't say that"..or
.."I didn't use the same words as Arnold.."

Her talking points are no mistake as is the now famous.."I Am Not a Witch" ad.
This is a brilliant ad. And it is for our side.

12. Agreed--greatest ad ever! It must have taken hundreds of hours of screening news
archive tapes, by a few people with great personal memory for what Ahnold amd Meg W have said.
