Karl Rove funding "Viagra for sex offenders" lies against Rep. Chris Murphy (D-CT)

Chris Murphy, our excellent congressman from Connecticut, needs our help. From his office:

Dear Wordpix,

I am not sure if you've heard yet, but there's a third party group running ads in the district saying I voted to provide Viagra to sex offenders.

No, I am not kidding.

And it's an $800,000 buy - which is a ton of money. In fact, that's more money than Sam Caligiuri has raised since his primary campaign.

To respond, we've upped our television ad budget down-the-stretch so voters are seeing more than these outright lies paid for by Karl Rove affiliated groups who don't have to disclose their donors.

We responded quickly and forcefully by turning out dozens of supporters at a press conference to denounce these ads.

There was even an editorial in the New Britain Herald that said candidates who benefit from ads run by third party groups should denounce the falsehoods within them. Unfortunately, my opponent has yet to do so.

1. In Ohio he is telling people that they have lost their jobs thanx to ....

..... Nancy Pelosi, the Federal Debt, Obama-care, and the stimulus.

It has been brutally effective. They have targeted many Dem. House
members with the packages of lies. Hell George W Bush's head of trade
who sent thousands of American jobs to China will win the senate seat
by blaming the Lt. Governor for not keeping the jobs in Ohio.

4. Why aren't there ads CHAINING Portman to Bush on those lost jobs in Ohio?

Portman helps Bush destroy Ohio's economy and Ohioans want to reward him?

5. "they" have been laying the groundwork for this from before the 2008 election

the republicans have worked to kill bills that would have helped people so people
are hurting more than they should ...... "Americans for Prosperity" or some such group have been running
ads about "if you are in a hole, stop digging" about the debt and that debt is because Obama's
stimulus didn't work and cost too much .... and now the chamber of commerce, American crossroads,
and republicans are running commercials that tell the voters that the people in charge are responsible
for the loss of jobs ..... all total lies but very well done.

Portman will win because he is lying that the Lt. Governor caused the jobs to leave Ohio and the fact
that Lee Fisher has been a first class dick to many democrats in the state to try to further his career.

3. true, voters are to blame if they think ridiculous lies are true -our education system is a reason

for this.

I teach students, and I know they're pushed along to graduate when they don't have the skills for the next level. So we end up with a dummy electorate without critical thinking skills.

... in most cases voting republican is against their own best interests ....
the republicans know this and are hoping to ride the people's hurt back
into power.

Hell coal miners in Ohio think that they are losing their jobs because of
Nancy Pelosi's cap & tax idea so they will vote against a democrat running for
Congress and vote a rich republican who will screw them 10 ways from Sunday.
