Joe Miller Up to His Eyeballs in Hypocritical Ethics Mess

October 14, 2010

snip//

“According to Whitaker, Miller — a part-time attorney for the borough from June 2002 to September 2009 — used other employees’ computers to send “proxy votes to get himself elected as the chairman of the Republican Party.”

Whitaker further says, in 2009, Miller refused to postpone a hunting trip when his office became short staffed and he resigned before his supervisor could fire him.

“The borough attorney came to see me and said she thought she was going to have to fire him,” Whitaker said. “But she called the next morning and said the problem had resolved itself. He resigned.”

Miller has already established he is a hypocrite. He has railed against Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, the federal minimum wage and unemployment benefits as unconstitutional. But come to find out, Miller’s family was the recipient of Medicaid, his wife collected unemployment insurance and he benefited from federal farm subsidies.

And as a crusader to clean up corruption in government, Miller is now trying to hide his own ethical transgressions.
During the 2008 Republican convention Miller attacked chairman Randy Ruedrich chairman as corrupt, while he himself used unethical tactics in his zeal to topple Ruedrich.

“We’re doing this so we can tell the public. Look, we’re behind the public and its motivation to clean up government,” said Miller at the convention. “That’s what this is all about, and to make sure the public understands that the Republican Party is a party of ethics and not corruption.”

Miller has refused to respond to Whitaker’s allegations.
