There are two high profile officials from CA. that came to office 20+ years ago as comfortable upper middle-class and amazingly & coincidentally were married to guys that became billionaires through government contracts and incredibly lucky "investments".

But, as I said, I'm sure this was all just good luck and astute investment & timing.
