PSA for DU
For those in North America, if you look up at the Moon you should see a bright light to the left of the Moon. That is the planet Venus. Very cool sight.

Also, it will be most visable for those west of the Mississippi in the upcoming 90 minutes.

We don't see moon and stars there. Not much of the sun either.

When it rises in the west, its the evening star and when it rises in the east its a morning star.

18. Wow, it's a star all day long, isn't it?
I couldn't resist. I like to make a funny to break the ice every once in a while.

You seem to know quite a bit about astronomy. Any idea how and when I could find the "Leo" constellation in the night sky?

19. Cool - my daughter & I noticed it earlier tonight
She asked me if that was the North Star b/c it was so bright. I told her I didn't know, but North Star didn't seem right to me in that position (but what do I know). I just told her what it really was - Venus (b/c of your post!)

Thank you for posting this. DU'ers are the best. :-)
