Meg Whitman: "We need to build an 'Economic Fence'

with a strong e-verification system that holds employers accountable for following the law. We are never going to solve the problem of illegal immigration as long as there is strong demand for undocumented workers."

She also supports inspections (i.e., "raids") of businesses suspected of employing undocumented workers.

It's a national security issue, she says.

3. There wouldn't be so many illegals here
if Republicans didn't hire them for 9 years at a stretch.

8. unlike the Republican administration before Obama's,
the Obama administration would be required to have valid search warrants, which would NOT go against the protection from "unreasonable search and seizure".

I've said for quite some time that all these businesses which employ illegal aliens should be raided, especially in places like Arizona, which most likely enjoy "protection" from the local anti-immigrant police who likely know which businesses employ illegals. And the police look the other way, preferring to "arrest" all those illegal workers in their cars, instead of giving bad press (and pissing off their buddies) to all the businesses ...
