Hopefully the Arabic Says 'Kick Me'

Spotted at a New York airport: A t-shirt that reads, "CAUTION STAY 100 METERS AWAY OR YOU WILL BE SHOT," in English and in Arabic. (At least, that's what the tipster thinks it says in Arabic.) A close-up is below.

I hope they searched its body cavities for the weapon its T-shirt advertises.

4. From your link, that sign is on back of humvees in Iraq/Afghanistan
someone replies down a few in link in your OP:
He's a vet, obviously. That message adornes (adorned) the back of every HumVee in Iraq during the war. The same signs are on the backs of U.S. military vehicles in Afghanistan. It gives the U.S. military 'the right' to fire on other vehicles they 'deem' to be getting too close in traffic as they bull their convoys through busy intersections. The first time I saw them I thought they were absurd and showed just how big of buffoons the U.S. military ar

13. Thus he may not be a "baghead racist".
His shirt, and he may be brave to wear ut, are perhaps ironic, perhaps a protest.

90% of the time. It's that other 10% you have to worry about and you have no way of knowing which kind they will be. I'm surprised he was allowed through security with that kind of threatening slogan on his shirt. What a racist asshole.

7. What does it really say in Arabic?

Assuming he had that printed in New York chances are high that the person who printed it might actually be Muslim (or might just be a non-Muslim with a sense of humor).

I have a friend who knows Chinese and she says a lot of people who have the trendy "Asian letter" tattoos have some unflattering epithets they probably don't know about.

Here are 3 things I might put on there if the guy asked me to print such a shirt:

1.) I'm a little teabagger hear me shout.

2.) Sorry for painting your culture with such a broad brush, I'm just not that bright.

3.) Cavity search volunteer. How deep can you go?

10. I believe it's merely the Arabic translation of the message
As uppityperson points out above, the T-shirt reproduces the warnings displayed on military vehicles in the war zones. It's a warning to civilian traffic to keep a distance--the troops in the convoys get pretty nervous when other vehicles try to get too close. Shirts like this are widely available and can be ordered online.

I wouldn't make any inferences about the guy's intent--he could be trying to express something, or he could just like the shirt because that message is a familiar part of his experience on deployment.

I have an old shirt that's similar--printed on it is the message: "FRONT TOWARD ENEMY." If I wear it, it's not to express some macho hostility, it's just a joke that other vets recognize and smile at. Some people are so klutzy that the Army had to have that message displayed --in raised letters--on the front of its Claymore mines, to reduce incidents of troops positioning them the wrong way--and blowing themselves away. To me, the message on my shirt is nothing more than an inside joke.

14. That's true
It may not be something he's given any thought to, especially if he's coming off a deployment. Or he may be Islamophobic. I can't really tell how he feels about it or what his intent is, just from the fact that he's wearing the shirt.

in the Columbus airport. They were all wearing this shirt. In the back of the shirt there was what was supposed to be Arabic writing. Because I'm so sure that phrase translates so clearly into Arabic.

I think airport security and the TSA need to double check every possible orifice for weaponry.
