To those who think public sector employees have all these good benefits...

I have worked at a state agency for going on 12 years. I started out as part-time, no benes and still am. An HR employee told me several years ago that 50% of the employees here are part-time, no benes.

Lots of other agencies in this state (Hint: this state has a Senator whom many believe is in the closet)have part-time, no bene employees too.

Not long ago, my workplace had a "Convocation," an event to talk about the wonderful things the agency had done and the wonderful things in the works. A speaker said that since 2007, 118 full-time positions had been eliminated.
