A Delaware twist
How interesting - a guy just called into Thom Hartmann who's a registered Republican. He admitted voting for Christine O'Donnell, but said he did so to knock out Castle. He really wants Chris Coons and figured Coons would have a much easier time by running against a fruit loop. He also said he had previously voted for the Democratic governor. Wonder how many others did that.

3. I'm sure many did
There was a concerned effort here in Georgia to do the reverse with Karen Handel (GOP backed by Palin) over Nathan Deal ("Establishment" GOP) both running against Roy Barnes (D) aka "Lesser of three evils."

Most considered Handel a threat and Palin's backing helped knock her outta the race. Many, many Republicans in local blogs, forums etc voiced their dislike of her as well as some anger that she would interfere with a state race. Many aside from R's voted for Deal to get her out of the picture and now Deal is imploding over undisclosed debt to the tune of $2.5 million with the explanation that it was "an oversight."

The vote will likely be split among Monds the Libertarian candidate and Deal leaving Barnes to be all but a shoe-in unless the GA GOP drops Deal and throws support behind Monds. It would be their best move, not sure why they won't do it.

4. Oh and ...
The irony is that Handel was likely much further to the center than Deal! She was clearly backed by Palin because she fir the "Mamma Grizzly" suit nonsense and nothing more. Palin submarined her run, there's no doubt about it that she would have been the next Governor of Georgia in my opinion had Palin kept her yap shut OR if Handel had not tried to use Palin's backing to her advantage. Should said "that's nice" and kept on moving without another mention.
