A whole lotta of crazy in one place....
we're in deep doo-doo with these people. I don't like to use the fear card....but holy shit!!!

Inhofe rails against 'open gays' in the military

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) used a bit of a dog whistle to voice his opposition to the Obama administration's push to repeal the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.

"I was an Army veteran, and I don’t have to tell any of the veterans in this room here the problems you’d have with open gays in the military," Inhofe told the audience at the Values Voter Summit Friday morning.

Inhofe didn't offer any more details, only declaring that the military is not the place to institute a "liberal agenda."

The Senate will vote on a Don't Ask, Don't Tell repeal on Tuesday as an amendment to the Defense Reauthorization Act. Inhofe used his speech to rally conservatives against overturning DADT.

Opposing Thomas Jefferson

Michele Bachmann riffing on Republicans and Democrats who haven’t aligned with the tea party movement: “If you’re afraid of the tea party movement you are scared of Thomas Jefferson.”

The Minnesota Republican drew numerous parallels between the Founding Fathers and the tea party movement in her speech, at times reading from the Declaration of Independence to fire up the crowd.

Railing against Islam

Gary Bauer picksed up right where Rick Santorum left off, conjuring the memory of Sept. 11 and the murder of journalist Daniel Pearl and roiling the crowd here at the Values Voters Summit against “radical Islam.”

Bauer, a leading social conservative and 2000 presidential candidate, framed the danger posed by Islamic terrorists as real and imminent, telling the crowd that “there are evil men who worship death who are doing everything they can to kill you and your families.”

Bauer mentioned the terrorist attacks nine years ago on New York and Washington a half-dozen times in making his case, and warned the attendees that President Barack Obama is not adequately addressing the threat.

“Faced with this danger we have a president that is AWOL,” Bauer said. “He keeps telling us that America has to prove to the Islamic world that we are tolerant. Mr. President, it is time for the Islamic world to prove to the rest of the world that they tolerate human rights and will honor religious freedom.”

The crowd nodded along and applauded Bauer as he blamed a demise of “values” in American culture for making the United States look weak to its enemies.

1. Yep...
They talk about all kinds of things, but never about the real "ISSUES" or a "PLAN"! It's the same old GOP BS, talk about wedge issues and ignore the fact they don't have any real plans for getting this country on the right track if they did win on or both houses!

2. It reminds me of parents who tell their kids things to scare them into doing or thinking something.

4. She read from the Declaration of Independence?
Probably the first time most of them have heard it.
