1. When they talk of reducing the size of government, military is excluded
They never want to mention military spending when talking budgets or deficits.

4. Still they don't include the military as part of the government
when they are talking about the government.

War is profit and government is offensive.

6. republicans have contempt for the idea that anyone other than the prez has a say in declaring war
so they feel that lying is necessary and justified to get around a stupid, liberal provision in that quaint, faded, yellowed, "constitution". if the power to declare war were vested in the unitary president where it belonged, the lying wouldn't be necessary.

i'd put a sarcasm smiley on but face it, they really do think that way.

p.s., "weathiest"?

7. When wing nuts talk about big government it is just code word for being against everything
from education to welfare, excluding military. Big government means government safety nets and anything that prevents corporate welfare or anything that prevents corporations from making record profits. They are all for wireless phone taps, bedroom police, womb police and anything else that serves to install a sense of safety from the bad stuff in the world even if such measures only gives them the illusion of safety.
