The Worst School Massacre in US History Was 80 Years Ago TODAY:
Edited on Fri May-18-07 07:59 AM by formerrepuke
44 dead, mostly children (not including the perpetrator)

Andrew Kehoe, an evil SOB:

To summarize- this guy was enraged that his property taxes (along with every other property owner's) were raised to build a local school. He believed this caused a foreclosure on his farm. He was determined to get revenge on the locals who voted for the school levy..BY KILLING THEIR CHILDREN. He weasled his way onto the school board specifically so he could have access to the school building. Mechanically gifted, he spent a long time rigging up the building with explosives. On May 18, 1927 he murdered his wife, killed his farm animals and blew up his own farm (he didn't want anyone getting his stuff). As fire & rescue crews sped toward his farm, he went to the school and did his evil deed. He made sure there was sufficient damage before blowing himself up- and taking a few more people with him (including a young boy who managed to escape from the initial explosion).

2. Whaaa?
Bad things happened before this nation became a godless, liberal hell-hole? Inconceivable. Boy, nothing sets off the nutcases like taxes, eh?

5. Very sobering to run down the list of children killed.
Just scanning the wiki entry, I couldn't help but note that some of these kids, 8, 9, 10 years old in '27, would still be alive today had it not been for this psychopath.

I don't know how it is that I'd never heard of this horror until now.

4. Wait - He Wasn't Muslim
the article doesn't say anything about him following Islam. That's wierd, the way the US govenrment and complicit media would have us think only Muslims were suicide bombers

killing children over taxes, how outrageous!

9. NO, he was a Republican...
chanting the Republican mantra, "no new taxes..." as he murdered dozens of innocent children.

16. Religion did figure into the aftermath
The KKK picked up on the fact that Andrew Kehoe was a Roman Catholic and ran with it.

7. I think that outdoes VT
I'm not trying to belittle VT, but the media immediately jumped on it as the worst massacre in the history of the country. Had they been doing their job and actually looked at history, they would have found this, and Wounded Knee, and a whole slew of other events that were as bad or worse than VT. And if they had done that, then maybe people might start to recognize that this country has always had a violent history, and it isn't just the eevul lieburals taking Gawd away from Murkins that causes this violence.

But they don't do things like that. Easier to always say that whatever happens is the only time it has ever happened. History doesn't exist in the US. It just happens in other countries.

8. The media framed VT as the worst 'this century'.
There were to many to mention before VT, I guess.

10. If you read the entire story, it was found that he
had rigged the other part of the school to blow up also, but apparently it mal-functioned or the carnage would have been greater.

12. The predecessor to the Atari 2600 was really to blame: The Atari 2
With games such as "Bite the live wire" and "Pretty 'Lectric Bulb" we all knew it was only a matter of time before the guy SNAPPED and started killing kids!
