Arpaio 2012!!
Edited on Fri Sep-10-10 02:43 AM by proud2BlibKansan
Washington (CNN) - "America's Toughest Sheriff" Joe Arpaio passed on running for governor earlier this year, but the Arizona lawman who has become a national figure for his tough stand on illegal immigration is not closing the door on a presidential run in 2012.

Arpaio, the controversial sheriff of Maricopa County, heads to the early presidential proving ground of New Hampshire Sunday to headline the Nashua Republican City Committee lunch.

"I am honored by this invitation to speak to the largest local Republican Party organization in the great state of New Hampshire," Arpaio said in a statement. "As a native New Englander, I'm looking forward to visiting this state that historically chooses who our next President will be."

Chad Willems, Arpaio's political adviser, said that the sheriff is "not going back to test the waters," but did acknowledge that "People just don't go to New Hampshire if they are not interested in these things."

2. LOL!
You're just hoping he'll run so you'll get another chance to protest when he retuns to your neck of the woods during the campaign. :)

3. LOL
I thought this was about Joe Arpaio's ads he made during the Republican primary where he attacks Romley. However the ad was for Arpaio's 2012 for Sheriff Campaign. He was fined for mailers targeting Romley. However the television ad was ruled OK for some reason.

Romley is the interim County Attorney who took over after Joe's partner-in-crime Andrew Thomas resigned so he could run for Attorney General (which Joe also attacked his opponent in ads) where Romley hasn't been the rubber stamp like Andrew Thomas was for Sheriff Joe. So he decided to run ads against Romley for Arpaio's 2012 campaign.

Sadly, Romley lost his primary to the Arpaio lapdog and there is no Democrat running for County Attorney this year. Only a Libertarian is running against him.

4. So tell me...have any of Joe's stunts actually done a thing to lower the crime rate
in Maricopa County?

5. Oh joy...Cowboy Joe instead of Cowboy George
isn't it odd. Guess the republicans Mommies and Daddies didn't let these goof balls play with their cowboy toys enough when they were kids. They have to get down to it now that nobody can stop them. Yeeehaw.
