| In a certain sense, we're lucky the Republicans are so crazy. |

Considering how the Democratic leadership has sold us out regarding worker's rights, workplace protection, job security, environmental protection, financial oversight, regulating industry, etc., etc., etc., (and now Social Security) ever since Reagan came to office, is there any doubt that if the Republicans could put together a working minority in their crazy party who would work with the Democrats that we wouldn't see a complete capitulation to "conservatism".
Of course, it's the kind of marginal "benefit" that is the difference between hanging myself or using a gun.

| 2. Their insanity and greed are what gave us the '06 and '08 elections. If they had not over-reached |

on the economy or not nominated such a pair of losers as Grandpa and Barbie, Obama would not have won. In the rigged system (money, media, allocation of Congressional seats, etc.) that determines our electoral winners and losers, it will always be an uphill battle for progress. We have to be much, much better to win the votes of the population. Now, the Dems own the disasters we have not gotten out from under and the pukes will play that tune non-stop until November. I do not think we can count on the discontent working in our favor this time.
