If we are to fix our economy.

It's a no-brainer.

When you outsource a job it goes away - it does not create a job here, it does not help our economy, it destroys peoples lives, and the practice is an assault on every employed and unemployed American worker.

6. IMHO inflation is the root of all evil.
It's my understanding that at the turn of the last century farmers pushed for an inflating central bank AKA Federal Reserve. Farmers liked the idea of getting more for their crops and paying back loans with cheaper money. Manufacturers decided that they too liked rising prices. Perhaps it worked great back when agriculture employed most Americans.

The mechanization of farming meant massive job losses in agriculture. One of the causes of the Great Depression.

Now, agriculture employs less than 5% of the population. Yet America still uses an inflating central bank. The high price of goods makes our labor costs too high.

It's my understanding that approximately 30 million workers actually produce the goods that America needs. All of the rest of employment is "make work" to enable people to pay the high prices created by an inflating central bank.

IMHO America ought to drop the inflating central bank and allow prices to naturally drop due to competition. Drop the "make work" and divvy up the 30 million productive jobs.

That way, people need only work a couple of days a week, freeing up the remainder of their time for other pursuits such as art and science.

7. What a loop.
One could argue that companies outsource jobs overseas but it has a positive impact on their bottom line, which allows them to grow and create jobs, which they will... outsource overseas because... it has a positive impact on their bottom line... which allows them to grow... create jobs... outsource... grow... jobs... outsource...

9. Hey, thanks! And let me make an edit...
... I meant to say BECAUSE in the first line, not BUT:
