The cry went up with the Tits statement. So now we want him gone.

But really. To what end? A small victory at best. In reality a gesture.

Will the outcome change?

I don't think so.

Your menu, sir. May I take your order?

1. If Simpson goes, one important thing changes: Obama stops coddling wingers, kicking his base.

Which could signal a change over the way power is meted out in DC.

2. It's not a full meal
Nor is it the banquet of ass-kick I voted for in 08, but it does ease the growling in my stomach, and makes me hungry for more right wing ass to chew.

4. i still think it's only for show. they must know that every american
(except the wealthy) will object to any reduction in social security or medicare. do you really think the bozos in congress will risk their elections by voting to negatively impact either program? i don't.

5. So far, I haven't heard the outcries from the voting public...they accept a lot of what
the politicians tell them.

But even if the bozos were voted out of office, some of them will just go straight into that revolving door and make more money being a lobbyist...so what do they care?

7. No. Obama will just scare up another Repug asshole to hide behind.
But I'd still love for Simpson to be out on his ass.
