AI=Artificial intelligence or artificial ignorance
Artificial intelligence has won, we have lost. Do you realize what AI has done to the world? It has cost us untold millions of jobs in every industry. Jobs that supported families, supplied healthcare, and retirement benefits. All gone.

Instead of better, the world is getting worse. Artificial intelligence is only helping those who use it to replace humans. Sure, it's better to use for some of the more dangerous tasks humans once performed, but it has been incorporated moreso to replace humans in every field.

Stop for a moment and think of how things have changed. And the sad part is, no one can reverse the trend. We are destined to fail.
MAchines don't sue, need healthcare, or days off from work. They don't require pension plans, don't complain about overtime, and don't get paid overtime. They build things cheaper, but are they better?

What good are machines when the majority of humans can't afford to live? It's too late. We've lost.

1. Started long ago
This is not a new concept. Ned Ludd would have alot to agree with here, and that was in 1811. The question remains, was he correct?

2. The most important thing in the world is that rich people get richer.

The older I get, the more I realize this is true. It's not right, but it's true. If it weren't true, they wouldn't have so many armies (military and private) at their disposal.

3. Unless we use these machines to liberate ourselves.
But to do that we would have to have a fundamental change in our system that we are not ready to conceive of just yet.
Imagine if you will a time when machines did all the work and mankind was free to to what ever they wanted free from all encumbrances of labor to provide for his needs.
Most people cannot imagine that but some can. And we have the ability right now to do that if we could have leadership that could imagine such a world.

4. Yes, and while that was probably the intention....
...is has had the opposite effect. The imperial class has used technology to eliminate humans to enrich themselves, not mankind. Few, if any, corporations use AI to help mankind. They use it to boost profits. If you think the rich will ever buy into the idea they owe mankind, think again. Greed rules!

5. Oh I don't think that it was ever their intent.

I think the intent is just what you say it is.
And that is a shame because we could solve most of our problems both socially and physically if we had the will.
