From worse to better:

1) Dems lose big, and most of the losses are of liberal/leftist candidates.
Will be spun as: The far left stayed home and handed the Repubs the wins.

2) Dems lose big, and most of the losses are of moderate/centrist/DINO candidates.
Will be spun as: The far left alienated the moderate voters and caused THEM to stay home.

3) Dems take few losses, retaining healthy majorities (the best realistic expected outcome for an incumbent party in any midterm).
Small losses will be spun as big losses, and then case (1) or (2) will be applied.

4) Dems have net seat gains (very unlikely but not really impossible).
Focus will be solely at the highest-profile losses and then case (1) or (2) will be applied.

One of those will happen (trivial), and the corresponding spin will happen (non-trivial). Feel free to bookmark this.

(Edited because a spell checker won't help you when you type "loses" instead of "losses")

1. I predict...
no matter what happens, liberals and the left wing will get blamed. Obama and congress will tack right as a result of this.

Even in the ridiculous chance that dems gain seats or keep their majorities, they won't have gained enough because of the stupid liberals. Obama and congress will tack right as a result of this.

I can guarantee with 100% certainty this will be the spin no matter what.

2. I don't think "keep their majorities" is ridiculous. Gaining seats is. -nt

4. Polls. I forgot polls. Polls can be used for the same spin algorithm. It didn't take 10 minutes. -nt
