| I'm appalled that Omar Khadr is being tried as a war criminal at Gitmo! |
|
In all the reporting I've seen on TV about this upcoming trial (it started today) in Gitmo, nobody, either in media or otherwise, has mentioned the most important fact of all! Omar Khadr was a child of 13 when his crazy father took him to war. What child would defy his father at that age? He was 15 when the alleged incident occured....this is mentioned in the reporting, but is not the pertinent fact. If the detail of him being 13 when he went with his father is pointed out during the trial, I don't see how Khadr can possibly be convicted.

If we can try a 13yo for war crimes but don't try our own people when they kill civilians then the US isn't worth fighting for.

| 2. I'm pissed that this extra-judicial madness is going on at all |

A kid on trial while our own war criminals are on book tours and bragging about their evils on television is exploding head material.

stated that Khadr was threatened with be raped until he bled to death if he didn't confess to a crime. The guard who threatened him has been convicted of torture (I think) and admitted threatening Khadr.
This is some really sick shit.

It's pretty obvious that you want Canadian health care and elimination of the Pentagon, and also that you think Obama is equivalent to Bush.
On a serious note, yes, it is beyond ridiculous and bumping up against a crime against humanity that Khadr is still being held and now we're going to subject him to a trial.

| 5. We have the Canadian Prime Minister to blame for part of this. |
|
If he had requested the return of Khadr to Canada months ago, as the Australian and other western countries did successfully, there would be no trial....Needless to say I detest our P.M. who was elected beause he fooled the population of Canada into believing he was a moderate when he is actually a right wing bastard.
