23. Except that he's not. He doesn't support his wars.
I won't bother with links, because if you need them, you're an idiot.

18. Name the TEN Senators!
Edited on Tue Aug-10-10 08:15 PM by pnorman
On edit: It's just barely conceivable that there could be 10 such Senators, but not likely much over that figure.

My own "progressive purist" credentials are in order. I still have some Kuchinich memorabilia around the apt. from 2004. And in 2000, I voted AGAINST Joe Lieberman! (Hint: "There's not a dime's worth of difference between ....")

26. Yes, Kucinich would not have escalated the war in Afganistan, but...
getting out of Iraq any faster than Obama would have been very hard.

25. Yeah I know deny the truth
and don't get killed like JFK. Play the game, and do as your told. I understand this reality, but I don't think playing this denial game is very healthy to our country.

Yet the denial of truth IS living in a dream world! INteresting.

27. I would be, too...
I mean, just look at my avatar. As for all the naysayers, you are right. Dennis has less than a 1 percent chance of becoming POTUS. So does anybody else really. But at what point do you actually vote FOR something rather than accepting the lesser of two evils? While I understand the concept of not abetting a Republic Party victory, it just doesn't sit right with me to just accept 'mediocrity,' for want of a better word.

at a time when my son was on his third deployment.Kucinich, granted, would not have bent to the right too much-but his reasoning was why SO MANY Vets were running as Democrats in 2008.

30. What states would Dennis Kucinich carry in a
general election?

Four or five, tops. Possibly just one or two. Also possibly none.

34. He's a case of a hell of a decent soul who is far more
progressive than a majority of voters in his own state. Ohio is still pretty blue in spots and things can be very close and competitive there. But since Howard Metzenbaum, there really have not been any left-leaning Democrats to win a state ballot, at least not as left-leaning as Howard Metzenbaum.

I do like Governor Ted and hope he prevails against that little weasel Kasich.

Kucinich's presence in the primaries in the past two cycles was almost a perfect model of the political brick wall he faced. He didn't have any money, and had the earnest and abiding respect of a lot of green-Dems and left-leaning Dems who nevertheless did not vote for him. In 2008 he had the benefit of changing what didn't work in 2004 but didn't seem to act on it, at least not in the degree it would have taken to make a difference. Dennis is much respected in the party but almost completely unsupported as a national candidate.

I think his best showing was Hawaii -- is that right? -- and everywhere else he was lucky to break 3 percent.

32. So you prefer theatrics and speeches over action and legislative accomplishments.
I know some people truly prefer that. But do realize that's all we'd be getting with Kucinich.

33. Sadly, I think the contemporary presidency is more about the institution than the individual......
....... and the institution is corrupted by corporate influences, as is Congress and the Supreme Court.
