Gee Rand Paul didn't graduate from Baylor as announced
Someone had made that statement and he failed to correct them. As reported in HuffPuff he said he didn't hear it, but they posted the video where he did and agreed. Now, he didn't graduate from college. He didn't get his Eye Doctor license thru a legit organization. He made his one organization. Has anybody checked to see if he even completed High School.

What's with all the republicans reporting all the credits and degrees and serving in the Armed Forces, and when check nada, nothing, no record. Wonder if that is why Palin quit the governorship. Maybe she didn't win it after all and was afraid she would get caught. proves the old adage....How can you tell a republican is lying, their lips are moving.....

12. Rand Paul is a physician (MD) practicing ophthalmology. That's way
different from only being an optometrist (DO, Doctor of Optometry).

One assumes in order to practice medicine he had to provide proof that he graduated from an accredited medical school. His choice to limit his practice to ophthalmology, while a bit iffy if he's not board certified by the major board involved, is not illegal, just means he's probably not a great ophthalmologist, lol.

11. Maybe an Online Course?
Perhaps the esteemed Dr. Paul (the Younger) is a distinguished alumnus of National Internet University?

3. Apparently he went there
but got his MD at Duke University School of Medicine.

No, you can't do what he does without an MD.

I have no statistics on his competence, but it's suspicious that instead of being board certified, he and his wife decided to fake an entirely new board to give him an equally bogus certification.

Still, he is a credentialed MD. He's just nuts.

13. But generally you need a Bachelor's Degree and your Pre-med Reqs
to get into Duke Medical school, Unless his daddy pulled strings to get him into Duke?

Also generally if you have fulfilled the pre-med req classes your pretty much guaranteed to have fulfilled a biology degree requirement. Who would spend all that money on private Baylor University and not get a degree? that makes me wonder what his grades were like.

14. Here is the entire entrance procedure to Duke...
First you study really, really hard in high school, because you need straight As to get into Duke--they have 30 applicants for every open seat, they can afford to be picky.
Then you take your SAT.
Your ACT.
Fill out the application.
Go through interview after interview.
If you pass all that, they put you in a room and show you a tape of a Duke football game. If you can manage to sit through the entire game without once yelling out "my mother can play football better than that, for God's sake!" you're in.

Rand must have done all those things.

15. He might have finished his pre reqs at Duke.
Edited on Thu Aug-05-10 06:07 PM by Warpy
The bio was clear as mud.

What was clear is that his MD was awarded by Duke. While he might have gotten in on Daddy's shirttail, he couldn't coast through like Stupid did in Harvard B-school. They don't let you coast in medicine, that kills people.

6. It's a family tradition. His father claimed he didn't know who wrote the racist rants
in Ron Paul's newsletter over a 20 year period, claiming to be Ron Paul.

No wonder the family believes in small government. Less likely to be exposed as frauds that way.

7. What is so confusing about "Faith Based Eye Care"
I think all Repugs should go to medical "professionals" like Rand Paul. If you believe you are an optomotrist, you must be an optomotrist?

10. Optometrists aren't MDs.
Ophthalmologists are.
