Rep. King, Dems killed the help the 9/11 workers bill so as to hurt the GOP.
Edited on Thu Aug-05-10 07:54 AM by Botany
He was just on Joe Scarborough selling the lie that the Democratic leadership in the
House changed the rules from a simple majority vote to a 2/3 vote so as to have
a campaign issue to run on in the fall. All the while he glossed over the amendments
that they tried to stick into the bill that had nothing to do w/ helping the 9/11 workers.
King also dropped that it was the Hispanic caucus who went to Nancy Pelosi that caused
much of the problems too.

Joe Scar was in in full bluster this AM too. "I will have to get Weiner back on to get to the
bottom of this."

Before Weiner "lost it" on the House floor Peter King in his speech about the bill, wouldn't
even call the Democratic leadership by their proper name and instead used the Frank Luntz
talking point of calling them Democrat instead of Democratic leaders.

1. joe doesn't think for himself.
perhaps joe (that idiot should never be a proper noun) forgot the point of Weiner's outrage, the fact that republicans voted no not because they ideologically oppose the bill but because they didn't like the presentation.

3. King is still begging the question of why not attach amendments to another bill?
Why the 9-11 rescue workers' bill?

8. Or that even w/ the amendments 96 or 98% of the Dems voted for the ..
... bill and 96% of the Republicans votes against the bill. Because you see it is
the Democrats fault that Republicans voted against the bill.

9. hay republicans had no problems using 9-11 for their political advantage
yet when Dems do something that might be construed, via an ad-homeniem circumstantial fallacy, its suddenly a republican talking point.

11. Bingo

Oh wait the republicans were the ones who did that.

Rudy says on seeing the damage of 9/11 his first reaction was, "Thank God George is President."

If you own the media you can create your own history.

14. I have said it and said it Democrats should start to call
all republicans CONServative. They could drop the ervative. And Cons fits them perfectly, after all just think, CONS is really just a shortening of the orginial word.
