Tom Delay was hit with numerous ethic violations and had to resign. He still has not been tried for his illegal actions. Ensign is under investigation for illegally bribing and having his mistress's husband appointed to a lobbying unit. All of this has been going on for years and they have not been brought to trial.

But now Rangle, under investigation for ethics charges is being brought to trial within weeks of the investigation and is going to have the trial during campaign season. What in the hell is the difference between Tom Delay who has not been brought to trial for over five or six years, Ensign who is still being investigated after almost two years. But they are rushing to judgment of Rangle especially during election season.

Don't we all know there are two kinds of justice in this country. One for the republicans, which is hinted at and usually ends up being dismissed. Just look at all the misconduct of the Bush Administration which was never prosecuted, especially the latest the firing of all those attorneys. And justice for Democrats which is pounced on and prosecuted right away and punched together whether there is something there or not. Remember Seigleman. Who was latest released because the trial was Rove's idea to get him out of the governorship (my idea not the press they don't say a word about republican misconduct).

It will go on and on until the damn press is cleaned of the trash and crooks and spineless bunch of idiots that now occupy it.

didn't resign and so the House is trying him. Ensign is being investigated outside of the Senate, which refused to look at his ethics.

5. Rangel's "trial" is not a criminal proceeding

It is a Congressional procedure. So Tom Delay avoided that by resigning, and Rangel could too. Criminal charges are another matter, but as a practical issue I doubt any will be filed against Rangel anyways.

If nothing else that would explain why DeLay skated.
