Because when there's unemployment insurance or health care on the table, it's "We can't do this", "Fiscal conservatism", "Job killers", "Socialism", "Stop spending our money", tea party rallies, etc.

BUT when it comes to funding wars or spending money to get gold plated spinning rims for the landing gears of the jets, it all of the sudden becomes "We can do this. Yeeaaaahhhh!!!" and "Why aren't we spending MORE on this?!"

Am I the only person who has noticed that whenever there's military spending to be discussed, this mild mannered "fiscal conservative" budget is never to be seen while it's going on?
