Will Harry Reid help protect Social Security for those 58 and under?
Edited on Sun Jul-25-10 09:24 PM by MannyGoldstein
As most of us probably know, Obama has set up a commission to cut Social Security payments for those 58 and under:

Today I read (although http://spectator.org/blog/2010/07/24/reid-to-netroots-were-going-to">from a dubious source) that Reid yesterday railed against "fear tactics of those who say Social Security is going broke. It's not." Obama's commission is claiming exactly that, that Social Security is broke (which is, in fact, utter bullshit).

Do Reid's words mean that there will be a fight against the cuts?

1. I don't know what Harry Reid is capable of....
I do know that Nanci Pelosi blows in the wind.. which ever way the money is blowing.. she will bend. How do you think she bought all that real estate in San Francisco?

This is a hard time to be a DEM. And who would think? With DEMS controlling the House and the Senate... we are getting beat-to-death?

VERY Sad.

3. And Pelosi has already agreed to the lame duck session giving the commissions recomendations an
up or down vote - no debate.

They'll destroyeSocial Security before most Americans even see it coming.

4. So a Republican congress can't pass cuts but the Democrats might?
What is the message if that comes to pass?
