| Someone please tell me global climate change is fake |
|
And tell me that our infrastructure is just fine. A dam in Northern Iowa burst earlier. The dam was built in the 1920's. Cedar Rapids had a 500 year flood two years ago. The city in which I live has had a so called 100 year flood twice in the last 20 years, including now. It is real hot. We are Midwesterners, we are used to the heat. And we know it rains. But not like this. Not violent storm after violent storm. And not floods like this every $!@# year. I am 52 years old, have lived here my entire life, and have never seen anything like this. So I realize I am preaching to the choir here, but fuck those who say global climate change is a fraud. Try living in it.

| 1. Okay. Global climate change is fake. |
|
Feel better?
Oh, it isn't really fake, but that's not what you asked for.

Sat Jul-24-10 10:08 PM 100-degree temps cook Eastern U.S.
Sat Jul-24-10 06:56 PM Heat wave in Moscow near to reach absolute record
And where are all those right-wing dicks who crowed and mocked because there was an extreme snow in D.C. this winter?

| 7. Senator Inhofe's state just went through 3 weeks under an Excessive Heat Warning |
|
Heat indexes well into the 120s. I bet you won't hear a lot of Al Gore jokes out of him for a while.

| 9. So Far The Chicago Area Has Had 16 or 17 Days Over 90 Degrees With Oppressive Humidity And....... |
|
it isn't even August yet. I've lived in this area for over 60 years and this is the worst summer I can remember. Midway Airport and some of the western suburbs had over 7 inches of rain Friday. I've had water in my basement 3 times this summer. This is a first since I moved into this house in 1972.
I was in Dusseldorf and Berlin in November of '09 and it was in the 50's - unseasonably warm. People were walking around the Christmas Markets without jackets.
I believe it is global climate change.
